My goal at Daverana is not simply to make money or publish whatever comes across the transom. I want to prove that independent ebook and small press publishing is not the ugly step-child of the industry by bringing out books that are as good as any produced by the majors.

Part of this means having good editors who are up to the challenge of helping new authors achieve their potential. If one day I came to work and discovered a bunch of my authors had been lured away by the majors, I would simply nod and say "It proves me right."
